Environmental Grants
Eligibility:
Grant applications to the General Grant Program will be accepted from non-profit charitable organizations that:
- Are public charities classified as exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
- Are located in DuPage County.
In the environmental category, grant applications will be accepted from governmental agencies including: public schools, park districts, Forest Preserve District and public libraries.
Use:
With its grant-making, the Foundation focuses on promoting conservation and restoration of natural areas, habitats and green space, increasing environmental education programs, expanding pollution and waste reduction programs, and protecting wildlife and endangered species.
Amount:
Varies, up to $15,000.
Timeframe:
Annual: September 2, 2011 deadline.
